CARLO MATOS has published ten books, including The Quitters (Tortoise Books) and It's Best Not to Interrupt Her Experiments (Negative Capability Press). His poems, stories, essays, and reviews have appeared in such journals as Iowa Review, Modern Drama, Rhino, and Diagram, among many others. Carlo has received grants and fellowships from CantoMundo, the Illinois Arts Council, the Fundação Luso-Americana, the Sundress Academy for the Arts, and the La Romita School of Art in Italy. He currently lives in Chicago, is a professor at Truman College, and is a former MMA fighter and kickboxer. He blogs at carlomatos.blogspot.com.
ANNMARIE O'CONNELL is a Pushcart Prize nominated poet whose work has appeared in Beloit Poetry Journal, Sixth Finch, Juked, Room Magazine, Verse Daily, Slipstream and many other wonderful journals. Her first full-length collection of poems, Your Immaculate Heart, was released by Trio House Press. Her fourth chapbook Hellraiser is forthcoming this year with Ethel Zine.
